Well where do I start about this gorgeous beachy chic comfortable shack. We absolutely loved staying here. Great location, big deck to lounge around on, outdoor very cute shower, pups allowed as all fenced off for them, lovely comfy beds and just a wonderful place to stay. Rod & Cathy were great hosts, we were lucky enough to meet and the saxaphone concert (thanks Campbell) in the afternoon was bliss.
Close to the Bowlo with the Best chinese food we've had in ages, seafood co-op a short walk away and a great coffee cafe around corner.
Very very relaxing, cant wait to come back. Thank you

As soon as you drive into this little town you are bound to feel relaxed!
We have been coming to Wooli for many years and this is one of the best stays we have had. You can hear the waves from the front deck and see the river right in front of you.
Loved everything about this little house and the fact we could bring our fur babies made our holiday complete.
Staying over the Christmas break it was fabulous to have the option to put on the air-con if we needed to.
Loved, loved,loved our holiday- thank you so much and can’t wait to come back!

We have just had a fabulous 4 day holiday at the Blue River Shack in Wooli. What a cute, quiet, secluded hidden gem. If your wanting a destination just to simply relax and enjoy the beach life then look no further. The little town is made up of beach shacks, a post office with shop supplies, oyster supplier, a Chinese restaurant and a bowls club. There is a local tennis court, a beauty salon river for fishing, boat hire and the most secluded beautiful beach.
The Blue River Shack is the best holiday house in Wooli! It has everything you need for a family and your pets. Your dog's are allowed inside and as our dog's are a huge part of our family, it's great they are not made to stay outside (they would have hated it). This was a huge positive for us as most other houses in the area say outside dog's only. There is a great grassed front yard off the decking which we spent the majority of our time playing sports, ran around with the dogs, ate yummy prawns from local seafood supplier, sunbaked, red books and listened to the birds and the beach. The kitchen had everything you need, lovely lounge room, very comfortable beds (even better than our own), reverse cycle heating and a lovely back area I enjoyed viewing from a comfy leather lounge in the sun.
The place was extremely clean and the house was very warm and cosy... we felt at home and so comfortable. Thank you to the owners of this beach house. We would definitely come back and recommend to all our friends. We could not happier with our stay.

Great holiday destination and accommodation
Comfortable and clean accommodation, in a beautiful, quiet location. Lovely outlook over the river and very short drive to a patrolled beach. Our 12 year old poodle enjoyed laying out on the covered deck and taking long walks with us on the pet friendly beach, just a very short walk from the house. Great place!

Where can I start? We are only half way through our stay but all I can say about the Blue River Shack is that it is amazing!

We initially had hesitations as it was a 5 hour drive from home but as soon as we drove into this little piece of paradise those hesitations disappeared!
The accommodation has to be the best value in the whole town. It is riverfront and has absolutely everything you need. The owners have definitely put a lot of thought into their house as by way of kitchen utensils etc it is the best we have seen.
The property has 2 air-conditioners (which seems a rarity in other accommodation options) and in February this has definitely been appreciated.
All I can say to Rod and Gerard is thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us! We will definitely be returning!!!

We had the most relaxing beach holiday in this very comfortable beach house. Sleeping in, lunch time swim, afternoon walk with our dog and evening bbq's on the deck, what more could you ask for? We will definitely be recommending this house to our friends.

We loved our stay at Blue River Shack. It exceeded our expectations on many levels....Location, location...fantastic!.

- Beautiful well shaded deck.
- Immaculately clean.
- Tastefully and well furnished.
- Excellent media equipment.
- Thoughtful selection of reading material, games and DVDs Well equipped kitchen - sharp knives = bliss Added bonus of a rosemary bush which added to culinary efforts Native flowers in the garden and roadside nasturtiums to add more colour to glorious days and of course, the ability to bring our beloved dogs.
We wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend (and have). We have left a shell mobile we made for the house and hope others will add to it.

"I know that I am very late with my review but I would thoroughly recommend "Blue River Shack" to anyone contemplating a relaxing and peaceful break away. The accommodation is spot on! The cottage is homely and well equipped. What a fantastic place to stay! Especially if you are boating or fishing people, we were neither. We wanted a quiet place to stay with good beach walks. You have the choice of the beach or the river at Blue River Shack. One at the back and one at the front. We just wanted a nice holiday with our old English Pointer. A place where we could relax and go for walks on the beach with her."

Property is a nice looking well kept house in a great location in town. The house has been keep in good repair and has all the comforts. The deck is great for relaxing, listening to the ocean and watching the bird life on the river.
Very impressed with the whole area and our week in Wooli was everything we wanted it to be.

"Very peaceful little community, shack has close proximity to a beautiful, endless surf beach (which the dog loved), and river fishing and boating. House was very comfortable with plenty of room and a great deck overlooking the river. Great big plasma TV for those wet days and comfortable mattress on bed for those long, holiday sleep-ins. Meals at the Bowls Club were cheap, tasty and close and fish 'n chips walking distance to the local cafe. We had a very relaxing week and will return! Excellent place to take your fur-kid... they will love it!"

We found the Shack fabulous and the kids loved it. The beach was so close to the house and the large deck overlooking the Wooli River made our evening meals memorable and our holiday perfect. The lagoon down by the Coffee Rocks was picturesqe and excellent safe swimming for our young children, we will definately be back
